University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee English as a Second Language Program
UWM’s IEP is a well-respected program that prepares students for university study in English by helping them 1) improve English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar; 2) interact with English speakers in daily and professional situations; and 3) gain cultural awareness of university life in the United States. The IEP offers 4 CEFR-based classes a day, free tutoring, conversation partners, interesting field trips, and a variety of volunteer experiences around the city. The IEP is also dedicated to fostering an atmosphere of openness among cultures and to collaborating with the greater UWM community.
